Waste bin campaign

As part of the ZQS Summer School "denk!nachhaltig", which took place from the 20th - 24th of September 2021 as a cooperation between ZQS/Key Competencies and the Green Office of Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH), students developed a concept for a waste bin campaign.

Catch phrases for the project were developed, such as "Help me, I'm starving!" and "Open 24/7". Student assistants from the Green Office worked together with members of the Department for Communication and Marketing and created stickers in line with LUH design, which were then placed on waste bins on the university campus. The stickers are intended to discourage littering on campus and ensure that waste is disposed of properly in the bins provided.

The goal of the campaign is to encourage students, faculty members and external visitors to keep the university grounds and lecture halls clean. Using a humorous approach, the campaign aims to sensitise people to the issue, awake consciousness and encourage a sense of personal responsibility. And even for those who are already conscious about their waste disposal there are a variety of slogans to discover, with which the campaign wants to put a smile on people’s faces.

In the coming semesters, the campaign will be continued and further expanded.
